Job Description
The Account Manager will demonstrate and sell Bio-Rad''s diverse and extensive line of consumables, apparatus and small equipment to life science research laboratories at academic, government, and biotech accounts. This includes working with existing named accounts as well as prospecting for new customers, qualifying leads, and training customers after the sales. Product lines include sample prep, gene transfer, electrophoresis, amplification reagents and thermal cyclers. This position is apart of the Great Lakes Territory, covering accounts in Central Ohio, Southern Ohio, Central Indiana and Southern Indiana.
Ideal base for this location will be Columbus, Ohio.
Required Experience
Three or more years of successful sales experience in life science research products are expected, selling into academic and Bio-tech accounts.
Other complementary skills include laboratory experience, including electrophoresis, western blotting, PCR, real time PCR, ELISA, and chromatography. Strong interpersonal skills including presentation and closing skills as well as a professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
Other expected competencies include: the ability to work independently and as part of a regional team. Proficiency in basic desktop computer applications is required.
Experience with is a plus.
Education: B.S. in life science discipline.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
